Muscle coagulation in shrimp.
Hello everyone:
Today we will see about muscle coagulation in shrimp.
In general we can see the formation of whitish coagulated structure in shrimp body. It may occurs by patches in abdominal segment.
What are the reason for occurance of this patches?
Some of the important reason for this occurance are,
1. Deficient of calcium in body,
2. Anoxic condition,
3. Continuous stress,
4. Problems in glycosylation process ( protein formation process occurs inside of the body) .
Coagulation - Binding and also called as clotting. It is a process of binding of two unfolded protein molecules with their oppositely charged ends.
Why this happens?
Before we want to know about Endoplasmic reticulum. It is an intracellular organelle which primarily involves in the synthesis of protein and lipid.
It involves in folding of protein molecules.
For this function calcium ion is essential for folding the protein molecules. If calcium is not available then it delays the folding process, if it delays then excess of protein molecules will gather around the endoplasmic reticulum.
Note : Endoplasmic reticulum is a Ca2+ storing organelle.
If this unfolded protein response get delayed then it cause programmed cell death.
We can called it as a Altered glycosylation process.
Glycosylation is a protein processing mechanism and determines the protein structure and it's function. When this process is altered then it is called altered glycosylation process.
These process causes death of cell and cause cancer ( growth of secondary cells over primary cells.)
These are the some of the common reasons and cause for cell coagulation and formation of tumour cells in shrimp body.
