Aluminium phosphide reaction on invading species - chemicals in shrimp farming.

Hello everyone :
Today we will see about the use of aluminium phosphide on shrimp farming.

Had you heard about that?
During prepreparation for shrimp pond, some farmers using aluminium phosphide tablets during wet condition.

Yes, it is a insecticide, rodenticide.

It causes acute poisoning to the insects and other species.

We will see the reaction of aluminium phosphide in detail....

When there is a moisture condition, phosphide reacts with moisture air and forms phosphine gas. It inhibits cytochrome oxidase and affects cellular respiration and causes oxidative stress.

It leads to sudden death of the organism.

This phosphine gas kills insects and pests. It can also kills aerobic organism.

This phosphine gas enters into the gastrointestinal tract and causes poisoning.
This phosphine gas attacks insects through respiration.
It causes lipid peroxidation and leads to damage of membrane.
It can change the ionic balance of the organism and causes the cells to death.

It causes oxidative stress - increase free level of radicles in host and stress causes increase in respiration rate and results in death.
These are the ways to cause the cells and organism die.
It is better to apply this aluminium phosphide in afternoon or late evening time.
Must be widely spreaded to eradicate the eggs of insects, larvae, and other wild fish which is present in the pond.
