Hello everyone..       Thanks for the overwhelming support for the last session...  The next session regarding white feces syndrome. A most common problem in shrimp farming industry...  Kindly contact and register..  Kindly share and follow the blog...  Thank you.

Different roles of microorganisms in shrimp pond ecosystem - part 2

Hello everyone:     Last blog, we saw about the importance of photoautotrophs in shrimp pond.    In this blog, we will see about chemoautotrophic bacteria.  Chemosynthesis is a process in which microorganisms actively utilize inorganic chemicals such as H2s, Hydrogen, carbon monoxide, ammonia, methane, iron, Nitrite, nitrate to produce their food.  These type of bacteria didn't utilize carbon as a major energy source.  Important : Farmers pls be aware of using carbon source for every probiotics application.  They actively works in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions.  Sulfur bacteria which oxidize H2S to sulphur and sulphates. Most commonly involved species are Thiobacillus.  Nitrogenous bacteria which are mainly involved in nitrification process. We all are knew about that.  Ammonia - nitrite - nitrate Species involved in this process are Nitrosomonas and nitrobacter.  Hydrogen bacteria which are uses oxygen in the aerobic condition and uses hydrogen in anaerobic c

Hello everyone:          Today we will see about how microorganisms plays an important role in managing the pond water quality.  " Without microbes culture is nothing" Different species of bacteria involves in degradation of organic matter, formation of flocs and maintaining the water quality. The beneficial bacteria not only used to control vibrio but also doing important functions in degrading pond wastes, production of extracellular enzymes, antioxidants etc...  In this regards, we will see about role of autotrophic bacteria in shrimp pond.  Autotrophic bacteria:      Autotrophic bacteria involves in photosynthesis and chemosynthesis.      They are using inorganic compounds as their energy source.    Autotrophic bacteria..  1. Photoautotrophic bacteria.  2. Chemoautotrophic bacteria.  Photoautotrophic bacteria:    These bacteria are involves in photosynthesis in the presence or absence of oxygen.  # The bacteria which involves in photosynthesis in the presence
