Different roles of microorganisms in shrimp pond ecosystem - part 2

Hello everyone: Last blog, we saw about the importance of photoautotrophs in shrimp pond. In this blog, we will see about chemoautotrophic bacteria. Chemosynthesis is a process in which microorganisms actively utilize inorganic chemicals such as H2s, Hydrogen, carbon monoxide, ammonia, methane, iron, Nitrite, nitrate to produce their food. These type of bacteria didn't utilize carbon as a major energy source. Important : Farmers pls be aware of using carbon source for every probiotics application. They actively works in both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Sulfur bacteria which oxidize H2S to sulphur and sulphates. Most commonly involved species are Thiobacillus. Hello everyone: Today we will see about the different water colours behind the pond production. We already see in detail about temperature in shrimp pond. Now various techniques developed for doing shrimp farming. Intensive and super intensive farming system does not depends on primary production. But.. in earthern pond, we partly depends on the primary productivity . In final production, we calculated FCR in the pond. We are not culturing the shrimp in their natural environment. We are culturing in high stocking densities compares to its natural environment.... So the needs for essential nutrients also high... Hello everyone: We all know the inland fish production is very high compared to coastal farming. But the market price, high FCR, improper selection of ingredients, use pellet feeds, poor knowledge will leads to slow growth and reduce profit. Best solution is here.... Most of the farmers using only mash feeds in their carp ponds. Very specific regions only have good market price for carps and tilapia. The other important factor for slow growth is improper protein in the selected ingredient. There are many nutritional factors deficient will suppress the growth of the animal. Researchers identified in one species, which is fed with low level of (Thiamine) - vitamin and high percent of carbohydrates source which will leads to death of fishes. Why it is died? Important of azolla in aquaculture

Hlo everyone; I am P.Dhivagar completed Bachelor of fisheries science. Now I working as a Technical executive. Today I am going to share about important of azolla in aquaculture. Azolla : It is a floating aquatic weed having high amount of crude protein upto 25% in dry weight based on environment it may changes. It has special capacity of fixing atmospheric nitrogen with the help of blue green algae Anabena azollae. Due it's nutrient availability it is used as feed for fish, poultry, pigs and cattles.
