Hello everyone:        Today we will see about the important procedures must be followed at the time of seed shifting from nursery to growout.        Nowadays most of the farmers doing nursery management for vannamei either it may be an biofloc Or earthern nursery...  Focus at the time of shifting....        Culturing at the nursery is an one task and another important task is about shifting the reared seed without stress....  1. Distance from nursery to growout..         The pond construction must be properly done. The nursery pond you selected must be present at the mid of all ponds. It facilitates the easy transportation and reduces stress.  2. Stress test....           Before 2 to 3 days of shifting, you have to place the seed to the growout pond in hapa and check the animal status at 6-12 hrs of regular intervals.           If the animal not passed in these pond stress test, the you have to postpone the shifting and check shrimp condition.  3. Water quality for the shi

Increase feed digestibility and absorption in vannamei.....

Hello everyone:           Today we will see about how to  increase feed digestibility and feed intake in vannamei....   Vannamei has a good market price in international market... Due to its faster growth and reduced cannibalistic nature, it is mostly cultured species in the world.  Increase the feed digestibility....            Different problems related to the gut has arises from 30 DOC onwards on vannamei farming...      *  Presence of harmful pathogens on the stomach.      * Imbalance in the gut microbiota.     * Poor quality feed.      * Poor water quality management and treatment.      * Irregular feeding.      * Absence of primary productivity.      * Poor conditions of muddy bottom.      * Improper storage of feed will get rancidity, if you gave that feeds to the shrimp, then also affect gut health.   These are the some of the reasons which leads to the occurance of gut problems. Lack in the secretion of stomach enzymes also will leads to the improper digestion.  En

Necrosis in periopods and antennae cut due to necrosis..  Hlo everyone:          Today we will see about the reason for the necrosis in vannamei.  Everyone saw the presence of some dark spots on the shells of vannamei. If you observe deeply then,We can see the necrosis in the ends of uropod in improperly managed ponds.  What is the reason for this?         Vannamei is stocked in high stocking density. In natural way, sometimes the injury will happens due to crowding of shrimp.       If you not properly maintain your pond, then the bacterial load will increases and causes various damages to the system.  1, Necrosis in the antennae.  2, Necrosis in the periopods.  3, Necrosis in the shells, or ens of Uropod.  4, Necrosis in body.  What is happening on that place?         If your shrimp pond have some harmful pathogens like bacteria or fungi or protozoa.. . If it attacks the body of the shrimp, then the immune system in the shrimp acts and try to kills the foreign pathogen.

Hello everyone:         Today we will see about the black gill disease in vannamei......  How we will confirm?         If you found your shrimp have any black colour appearance on the gill, then take the shrimp and put in a freshwater for several minutes. If the black colour gone means, it is due to turbidity or due to soil. If it is not gone, then check the gill and confirm the presence of black gills in your shrimps....  Thing should you know....          The most important species present in the affected gill is Fusarium species.. The genus have many species. This is mainly present in the soil where the present of rich organic matters . It is soil borne fungus. It also spreads by air, and water. Researchers found it in both freshwater and saline water. It grows on substrates by forming the mycelial like structure and affect the organism. Likewise, it is attached on the gill and causes necrosis and malfunction of gill lamellae and causes trouble in respiration...
